After graduating with a Degree in Illustration and Design at Edinburgh College of Art I began my career working first at Scotlands biggest community art charity as a creative assistant and tutor. I gained further experience volunteering for 3 years at my local community centre as an youth worker. Following a course of study I qualified as a youth worker and have since developed my skills as a professional artist alongside this practise. I now work freelance on a variety of different projects. I have been trusted as the lead artist on some very prestige projects with councils, non-profit organisations and instituitions across Scotland to provide social engaged public artworks . I often work with a broad range of age groups in the community. I have had the privilege of leading projects that have typically involved large scale murals that have involved partcipants that use this space.  This work has been incredibly rewarding in establishing representation and a voice for communities. I feel honoured to work alongside these groups ,to enable a sense of ownership and bring empowerment to those most vulnerable and under represented. 

I work in a mix of media and bring digital and traditional techniques into methods of creating. Whichever works best for the brief. I am confident in my ability to work to limited budgets and engage with a variety of groups on issues or topics they would like to explore through creative art. I worked with the Young people,Big noise group  in Torry, Aberdeen as Lead artist on outreach with the National Galleries of Scotland (NGS) to deliver a series of workshops to explore these topics further through a project called ‘Temples of Care’ This explores the living legacy of Scotland’s connections to the transatlantic trade in enslaved people in our built environment (with support from Historic Environment Scotland), and NGS national art collection, through creative responses with local communities. The workshops use historic buildings and artworks with problematic histories as a starting point for conversations with young people about these histories, and how they connect to modern day issues in Scotland such as racism, discrimination and social inequalities.We then make our own artworks in response to those conversations.Young people are supported to make their own creative responses in whatever way they wish: retelling this history from their own perspective, or celebrating the diverse identities that makeup Scotland’s community today, or exploring art as a form of protest and resistance..identifying different themes through their Youth Voice work recently: the environment, inequality, and racism. HIDE OUT was a two part public art project working with Sandwick Junior high. Funded through creative learning network , Education Scotland , Shetland Island council and Shetland Arts. Considering the boundary between home & school the inside & outside space that the young people occupy. Working collaboratively with the pupils we developed designs for the bike shed space on their school grounds from creative sessiovs I facilitated on the themes of well being and mindful art practises.
